活出有根基的生命--從以色列開國三王談起                                                     9/16/07        

撒母耳記上 (1 Sam) 13﹕13-14                                                                     

撒母耳對掃羅說、你作了糊塗事了、沒有遵守耶和華你　神所吩咐你的命令、若遵守、耶和華必在以色列中堅立你的王位、直到永遠。現在你的王位必不長久．耶和華已經尋著一個合他心意的人、立他作百姓的君、因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。
　

You acted foolishly, Samuel said, “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.

約翰一書 (1 Jn) 2﹕16-17

因為凡世界上的事、就像肉體的情慾、眼目的情慾、並今生的驕傲、都不是從父來的、乃是從世界來的。這世界、和其上的情慾、都要過去．惟獨遵行　神旨意的、是永遠常存。
For everything in the world-- the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—come not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

傳道書 (Ecc) 1﹕2﹔ 1﹕14﹐ 12﹕12

1:2 虛空的虛空、虛空的虛空．凡事都是虛空。
Meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless.
1:14 我見日光之下所作的一切事、都是虛空、都是捕風
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun
12”12 著書多、沒有窮盡．讀書多、身體疲倦。
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body

士師記 (Judg) 21﹕25

那時以色列中沒有王、各人任意而行。
In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit.

歌羅西書 (Col) 3﹕5-9 ; 3:12

就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、和貪婪以及惱恨、忿怒、惡毒、〔或作陰毒〕毀謗、並口中污穢的言語
Sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language from you lips…
所以你們既是　神的選民、聖潔蒙愛的人、就要存〔原文作穿下同〕憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔、忍耐的心。
As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
