1-20-2008── 膚色的偏見 Skin color prejudice

My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. (James 2:1)

　　大部份的人都不願被冠上種族歧視的罪名，然而種族歧視實在是太普遍了，即使是基督徒，也有一段相當長種族偏見的歷史。在一世紀時，猶太籍的信徒很難接受他們那些外邦的弟兄。而在最近幾年，種族歧視儼然成為主要的爭論關鍵。

Most of the people are not willing to count as racial discrimination, however racial discrimination is actually too common, even Christians, also have a long history of racial bias. In 1st century, the Jewish believers found it was very difficult to accept brothers who were outside their nation. In recent years, racial discrimination has become major controversial key.

　　由於偏見深植人心，以致有些時候必須藉由悲劇的發生，才能使人看清因膚色而產生的歧視是何等的荒謬！幾年前，我曾讀到一篇報導，某個頑固的卡車司機打從心底瞧不起非洲裔的美國人。一天清晨，他的油槽卡車突然翻覆，馬上起火燃燒。一個星期之後，他醒來發現自己躺在醫院的病床上，並看到一張黑人的面孔，就是這位黑人救了他的性命。當他知道在他燒得像把火炬時，那人用自己的外套和雙手將他身上的火扑滅，他不禁為那人毫無私心的英雄行為感激得痛哭流涕。

Because of prejudice deeply rooted in people's mind, so that sometimes people should went through the tragedy, then knew clearly how it was ridiculous about the result of color discrimination. A few years ago, I read a report, a stubborn truck driver looked down African Americans from the bottom of his heart. One day morning, his tanker truck suddenly overturned and immediately burst into flames. One week later, he woke up and found himself lying down on a hospital bed, and saw a black face, who saved his life. When he knew that burning like the torch, that person with his own hands, and coat putting on the fire, he could not help but in grateful tears for his selfless heroic act.

我們大可不必用悲劇來打開我們的雙眼，而只需定睛在各各他的十架上。在那兒，我們的主為不同語言、不同種族和不同國家的百姓，舍上自己的生命。他為全世界獻上自己作贖罪祭，表明瞭他對全人類的愛。

We are not necessary open our eyes with the tragedy, but only need to fix the eyes on the cross of Golgotha. In there, out Lord shed his life for the common people with different languages, races and nations. He offers himself for the world as the Atonement that shows his love for all mankind.

主啊，若我們煽起了偏見的余燼，也就是你捨命為要將之熄滅的，求你憐憫我們吧！那麼，主裡的弟兄們，不分種族，讓我們手牽著手； 凡像兒女般服事我聖父的，必然就是我的弟兄姐妹了。偏見是懶人逃避思考的借口。

Lord, if we incite the prejudicial fire ashes, which exactly want to extinguish by your shedding life, please have mercy on us! Then, brothers in Lord, regardless of races, let us hand in hand; serve my Father like sons and daughters, who inevitably are my brothers and sisters. Prejudice is a drone's excuse to avoid thinking.
