Let God do the judgment.
2 Corinthians 10
When people commend themselves, it doesn’t count for much. The important thing
is for the Lord to commend them.
Have you tried to give the definition with a word for another word which has the
same meaning? In fact, that is not useful. You can not use terminology to
explain its own meaning. For example: You can not say , "Arrogance is full of
arrogance."
As the same, you can not use your own definition to explain a word. Just like we play the game at home, sometimes in order to be amusing, giving an unknown character a funny definition. However this character's true significance only can be recorded in the dictionary.
Giving the definition for a character and appraising a person's individuality is
the similar truth. In 2
Corinthians 10, Apostle Paul pointed out ,
"Judging with your own standard to show off yourself is how stupid it is."
(12-18). If we use the criterion which is designed by ourselves to appraise
ourselves, that is
wrong and instead we must use God's standard. He appraises our life by his
invariable criterion. God thinks we are what type of person, then we are the
person as he thinks.
When we put out our life's list to examine the matters which we have done for God. Do not too quickly to commend yourself. Whether we are, "the praiseworthy by Lord", that is the true examination. (18th)
Who can measure our life,
And also can judge our achievement?
Our dear Lord will reward
You
who live in the honest way.
If you want to know the real yourself, you must look at Jesus' standard.
